Brooklyn For Peace is an organization that was founded in 1984 by a small group of parents that were concerned about the devastating effects of war. Now 25 years later they are still going strong. I have been a member for 3 years now and have served on the board for 2 of those years. I feel extremely honored to be a part of this group and to know the people that have committed so passionately to the cause for peace. Through them I have learned how to activate compassion and move it in a direction of empowerment. All of us have special causes that we feel strongly about and want others to know about. For me BFP (Brooklyn For Peace) is my special cause.
